When I told my husband that I would put some words on paper about my stay at Cascina Desderi, he immediately responded; “ No way, not before I have been there myself, I want to put down my signature as well.”

Not hard to understand, after having described the mood and atmosphere to him – like anecdotes of experiences on a report.

Cascina Desderi was indeed a special construction site, with a crucifix hanging from the scaffolding, and where I could hear joyful laughter and amusing whistling from the workers.

The working process was like clockwork moving at high speed, easily and precisely.
Through clouds of dust from the concrete work they smiled upon my face, they greeted me, greeted me friendly, without a spoken word: You’re welcome too, in the most pleasant of manners. Then continued the good work.

What a great project.
What a great area.
What guts they’ve got.
What an amazing beauty.
How impressive this place would be.

The fantasy framed the nicest little movie, with all kinds of pleasures in a surrounding for what your soul desire to please. This should be my working place for a short week, and instantaneously I was delighted.
The proud owners showed me around, pointed in all directions at the same time, and I saw the beautiful nature in the softest of light this afternoon in October. The mountains, which were not visible every day, were beckoning from a long distance, as if they were wrapped in a soft tracing paper. Picture perfect – like a postcard.
